Nick Borg 1963-2021

Nick Borg
June 3, 1963 – April 7, 2021

We are deeply saddened to announce that Nick passed away suddenly on April 7, 2021.

Second only to the love of his family and friends was Nick’s love of horse racing and discovering the ins and outs of a race. He loved sharing his thoughts and angles with the fans of nickborg.com, his newsletter, and his books. Nick wanted everyone to benefit from an angle or an edge he had identified after studying the times and ratings of each horse in a race and the trip he could envision a horse getting on any given day.

We are not sure what the future holds for nickborg.com but we hope to continue to keep this site alive in some form in loving memory of Nick’s generous spirit.

Please feel free to post any thoughts in the comments below.

  1. Nick was a great and dear friend/brother. We new each other for more than 30 years. We’re co workers for a while and grew this relationship for 30 years. His handicapping was super. He took his time reading number and picking only the horses that had the best chance. I have learned from nick handicapping. Every handicaper has their thoughts and figures but nick had the best picks. Let’s think of all the good times and may he rest in peace. God bless. Love you brother

  2. Nick was a great handicapper and a great person. I was recently in contact with him, trying to get him to update his Wingenerate 2000 to Wingenerate 2021. Like I told him, it was the best computer program I ever had. He will be missed Jack Magurno

  3. I am sorry to hear this. I am a follower of Nick. I have his book on charts that he wrote for DRF. My condolences to the family

  4. Such sad news. I always enjoyed Nick’s expert take on the racing world. Condolences to family and friends.

  5. He will be missed by all. I loved working with him and learned so much about handicapping.
