Well, could you believe the stretch battle in the Travers? Afleet Express and Fly Downdueled through the Saratoga stretch and in the end the difference was the smallest margin that I think I have ever seen.
It’s just amazing! To think that these thousand pound animals are going to race around this great track for 1 1/4 miles and the finish will be decided by about 2 inches is just mind boggling.
Our congrats goes out to both horses Afleet Express and Fly Down and their stables for giving us a Travers Stakes that will surely go down as one of the very best.
